Malik Shaheed is an accomplished Media personality and entrepreneur who has interviewed the likes of Kanye West, P!nk, Beyoncé, Eminem, 50cent, Jay Z and many more. He is a former MusiquePlus VJ that has also worked on CityTV, CJAD radio and with Bell Media.
Born and raised in Little Burdgundy, his entrepreneurship started at the age of 14 when he opened up his own basement barbershop. From that moment on, he has understood the importance of being independent and running your own business. This enabled him to do freelance marketing and production for concerts, music tours, and speciality events which went hand in hand with his media work. Malik is also the founder of a non-profit, Youth Stars, which promotes healthy eating habits and entrepreneurship for kids. Giving back to the youth community is something that Malik has been committed to for a long time. It’s very important for him to give those the opportunity he didn’t have.
